Here the different elements of the system are outlined.

Cloud represents arbitrary ATM mesh which corresponds to a domain.
Two mobiles are shown in different pico-cells served by base-stations.
Mobile1 has three VCIs open which are routed through a Virtual path via its fixed switching point.
The virtual circuts are then routed in the normal way through the ATM network between the FSP and the appropriate Host.
One VC is routed to mobile2 and is therefore routed via its dedicated FSP and the appropriate virtual path and base station.
The DomainLocationServer is shown communicating with either the ATM name server or Home Register.
